Firostefani Blue Domes

The blue domed churches of Santorini with the white crosses, the painted arches and blue domes are an iconic image of the island. Wherever you turn there is a cute small or bigger church that stands amidst the white houses on the cliff.

In Firostefani village, located just few steps from lively Fira Town, is the blue dome of Aghioi Theodoroi church (Saints Theodore) one of the most photographed spots in Santorini featured in many guides and postcards. Its picturesque location and the spectacular view to the volcano is an ideal spot to take some amazing photos

Usually you can find it open so you can also take a look at the old icon on its chancel screen.
